- You don’t have to have your own computer, but you do need computer access. Check out your community (libraries, nearby Universities) for available options.
- You do need to have an email address and access to the internet.
- Be willing and able to make the time commitment needed to takeaway the best learning experience.
- You need to participate in the required course components.
- You need be able to use the technology properly. It may take a bit of time and prep work to achieve this comfort level.
- You need complete all reflections and assignments on time.
- Be willing to "speak up" if problems arise.
- It’s important to remember communication is key in an online course.
- You need to be willing to keep the lines of communication open with your instructor and be open about what you need to complete the course successfully.
- Feel that high quality learning can take place without going to a traditional classroom.
- We believe you will begin to recognize that the online process takes a real commitment and discipline to keep up with the process.
- The successful student will view the online option as a convenient way to receive quality education – not an easier way.
